Just a Miracle

I am close to my God in the outdoors Where earth smells linger on the wind. The wonder of creation is everywhere And I feel my heart rest at peace. It was in the outdoors that disaster struck my son, a new father. He collapsed while jogging, saved by a man on the path, a stranger then, but I think, guided there by divine plan... Clinically gone. kept alive by CPR,then hospitals, medicines, ventilators and new methods of intervention. These miracles beyond comprehension. So I walk now and then with my son, In the park or on the shore. Without speaking, we know first hand of luck and fate, and the miracle that came our way that early spring day.

Indeed, God had a hand in this rescue, guiding the assitance of the man who stopped to help, Barbara. Terrific story behind this poem. And the victim was lucky; a man collapsed in front of me in the state capitol building but efforts to revive him were fruitless. THIS is divine intervention and I wish you well in the contest, dear LNC. Love, Carolyn
