yellow finch perches on the blue bell precarious existence a loopy optimism on a long flower stem, bending a high wire act a finely poised stature picture perfect infused with summer's tangled bounty yellow finch a jubilant preening in July sun elevating distraction till my movement disrupts the pleasure of seclusion its brisk flight away a furtive companionship jaunty unexpected jubilant in its simplicity
