Joys Of Home And Mom's Tasty Apple Pies Consider Life, between earth and high clouds Throngs of dancing shadows moving in Time White headstones and sad widows in black shrouds Poets painting wondrous scenes with words and rhyme. Frost, dying flower's aromatic wilt Fallen timber and wolf's well hidden den Man's somber plight, of sin, death and great guilt Life's sweetest dreams and loves of mortal men. Nature's harmony in destruction's wake Epic poems, songs that traverse Time's realm Golden memories, we never forsake Tears of happiness that so overwhelm. Life, betwixt earth and heavenly skies, Joys of home and mom's tasty apple pies! R.J. Lindley, June 17th , 1973

A lovely sonnet once again, Robert, though written long ago, it holds great appeal even today:)

You had me from, "apple pie". Why'd you have to be so serious?
