Jack and Jill and Company -- One --

"Jack and Jill and Company" Jack and Jill were on their way to the unknown talking many hours on the telephone They never could say good bye with thoughts leaving them high Now they're never alone living the same zone Their friends Miss Piggy and Kermit placed a call hoping to visit before any rainfall They traveled under the blue all red lights they passed through Now all four are together at the mess hall SkyWatcher - 05-08-17 note ok all you Limerick experts you can be honest and true this was my attempt at the Limerick this entry is one out of three I've only practiced this twice privately I somehow now had the courage to post I have seen so many floating around in this format have a wonderful day thank you

Hello Tim. Good Afternoon. Yes, I know. I've seen so many entries lately that I thought I would give it a try. I will say this however. I will forever remain and stick to Free Verse. I do know this also. Just as there are different variations with other forms more modern versions of the original format this was actually one of the variations and modern versions. I am speaking of the syllabic count of course. Thank you for everything and all your generosity Tim. Have a great night. I will see you soon on your page.

I thought this was cute and fun to read my friend. I am not a Limerick expert but I do think a certain syllable rule applies to them but I am not too sure about that. Still, for a first attempt (or first posting) I think you did a great job with this and I liked it a lot. Like I said earlier - your are in big trouble - big trouble (lol). HI Chris. Thank you for such generosity. Yes there is a certain syllabic count with the traditional and true Limerick. Just as there are different variations of other formats a modern version or variation of the format family this was one for the Limerick. However, I will remain the forever Free Verse girl. I was seeing so many entries circulating lately that I thought to give it a try. But I'm done (lol). Now Mr. Chris about that payment and visa.... You are a riot and very generous. Honestly. Have a wonderful night. I will see you on your page. I'm glad I was able to log back on for after I posted I couldn't log back on this morning and then I had to leave and just returned an hour ago. Anyway..... PS: thank you for the smile your ending brings.
