Having recently endured some serious health issues and great loss, I was depressed and almost gave up writing entirely. However, I was reminded by three poets here in private messages that , we write to gift others. And if my well was dry it was only a short term problem and I should not myself turn it into a long term one. With that in mind, I wrote this sonnet this fine morn..

Dedicate it,  to all of you magnificent and exceptional poets, giving of your time, mind , heart and souls to cast forth words to help others. Thank you...

Is This Not, A Poet's True Call Dear poets, why do tears wet thine eyes whispered moans, languish in thy cries. Thy well, emptied of its true gift, poetry no longer uplifts? Nurture thy heart to replenish carry spirit forth to finish. With renewed faith in thy great cause consider such loss a mere pause. Ponder these words written to give do we then die because we live? Can we live true, before we die cast Hope's blessings asking not why? Ink thy pen, write to bless us all Is this not, a poet's true call? Robert J. Lindley, 8-04-2017 (Sonnet in Eights)

You are a beautiful heart Robert, your words touching and inspiring. People write for many different reasons on many different subjects yet we all come together to be moved, feel connected and encourage each in every endeavor. This is so heartwarming. You are a great pleasure to read, I am so glad you write. many blessings to you xo

Dance thy song, rhythmed and reasoned and seasoned to bless us all. Is this not a human's healthiest call? Lovely resonance here. Thx, and be well. Gerald Oliver

Its brilliant to see your muse back on fire and I know you have a massive catalogue of old poems to use when the muse is misbehaving. Keep the poems flowing from that golden pen my friend you inspire me so much with your wonderful words:-) hugs jan xx

Thank you my very talented poetess friend. Truth is that massive number of never before posted poems(here or anywhere), too oft allows me to be a bit lazy and not write new ones. Glad you found this one pleasing, as it was dedicated to you and so many other great poets here--each that I've read have greatly inspired and taught me more.
