Inspirational Melodies (Tag To Daver Austin)

Following up on a tag from Karen O'Leary. Sending the tag to write a poem about "poetry" to Daver Austin. Inspirational Melodies So much running through her head But nearby church bells ring out Hymns so familiar cast new thoughts Sanity restored, no longer in doubt She picks up a small pad and pen Looks to heaven for inspiration Senses insight sent from above Arriving with no compensation But the thrill of sharing ideas It's payment enough, these thoughts she's hosted She visits the Soup to see what's new Searches to see what Daver has posted A concert violinist is he With a spooky side as well And the self-described "old codger's" words Can surely cast a spell OK, Daver. Take the poetry torch and run with it, my friend!

Enjoyed this poem and I'm glad I made you laugh, sorry to hear about your mother, but God was smiling on her that day and He is now still, maybe she's winning in Heaven. Ellen

"Old codger am I?" You betcha! Carolyn, this is so flattering. You feel the same way about poetry as I do - it's the sharing that's so wonderful. When I submit a poem I hope to get some meaningful reply besides "nice poem" or congratulations. I can always count on you, dear friend. "But the thrill of sharing ideas." This says it all. BIG LOVE, daver
