Innocent Love
The little fingers holding out for her hands
to grab on
fighting to be the best for a simple word
of praise
her tears made me cry and the angst
I felt
my tiny heart knew not the innocence
of love.
But what is this feeling I have
its strange
that stirs within me making my heart
race
and my body tingle with the surge
of emotion
leaving me breathless an incredible world
I saw you and the world seemed
to change
your very presence made me tremble
with need
A need so fierce, I knew not
for what
A need to drink in your
heady scent
A need that crept from the pit
of my stomach
A need that makes me sweat
and moan
A need I have never felt
so strong
A need so pure to melt
within you
A need to be one, I know not
what for
This imminent need that was born
captivated by this spell
and in it I want to live on
leave me not, do not enlighten me
for this is where I want to be
for with knowledge
my innocence will be lost
