In the Silence of Snow
Oh, hear the silence of pristine snow falling,
the birds chirping from hidden places;
and ice crackling, groaning and moaning.
The frozen branches hang like chandeliers,
and an ice covered creek whispers.
The path I am walking is peaceful quiet,
as I look back at my snowy footprints.
Oh, hear the beautiful hush lingering,
as my footsteps crunch in the utter silence.
