Okay! You left me asking. . . And then what? Intriguing! Is it what could have been or did they meet? GREAT! Love this and you gave us that question of all the possible scenarios so simply! A7

You convey a greater depth of feeling and describe visions and moments more succinctly and profoundly than perhaps any other poet here when dealing with this form. Impressive!

I enjoyed this moment and can visualize it very well. An option to remain strangers or to develop into something more. You do tanka justice.

Hi Timothy!! A while ago I was on fb and noticed that you started your journey on the 24th. Maybe you have already arrived. ~ Glad you enjoyed this poem; I am not quite sure whether it qualifies as a tanka, but I tried my luck! Take care. ~ paul

Dear Paul Thank you my friend for your shinning seven, I grew up with Prince and loved his music, I was shocked to find out that he had passed away. My small tribute poem is simple compared to the legacy that he left to the world itself, but I appreciate the cool comment you left for me on my humble piece of dedication, an thank you for your concern about my up coming surgery, I'm getting nervous about the whole thing, but their is no excape iF I want to stay alive right, thanks again, cheri d.

Thank you for coming back for a second read, Cherl:) I was about to pay you a visit to wish you strength and calm for tomorrow's surgery. At home we'll be saying a special prayer for you, and I am sure many others will be thinking of you. Wishing you the best outcome possible, my dear friend. God bless. ~ paul

I'm so pleased that Christina is better; galletti/crackers & Gatorade usually do the trick. Not to worry, as long as she has no fever. I bet she'll be pleased to spend the day with you tomorrow:) No worry about meeting...we'll think of an alternative. ~ Txs for liking this short poem....regards and a X for Christina...paul

Dear Paul Just love the imagery my friend, strangers of the distant hearts, can live a life time in just a single glance, loved it, and thanks for the comments on my site as well, remember I'll be off the air for awhile starting on the 26, surgery's recovery will take awhile for the healing, getting nervous but I know it has to be done right, thanks again for all the prayers and best wishes, cheri d.

Thank you Nette! That feeling of 'what next?' is exactly what I had in mind; perhaps it's not quite a tanka...more a case of free verse; still brooding on it! hugs // paul
