In the Corner

In the corner there by the door Hangs my leash and my silver chain My master's gone forever more So they say again and again In the corner is where I'd sit Waiting at the end of the day In he'd come looking trim and fit "Let's take a walk, old son", he'd say Through woods and meadow we would roam Sharing the freedom together Then he left me here at our home With leash and collar of leather I know not of humans and fate But in this corner I will wait 3/18/2017

So sad. This reminds me of a dog that sat waiting at the crossroads where his master had been killed by a car. He was there for years, locals built him a kennel and fed him.

This is sad a sad poem about a dog is waiting for his master to come home at the door. He does not he will not return. So sad. A 7 Larry.
