All this time I'm watching him
I wonder if he knows
In softest glow I warm his curls
at night when shadows cast upon the walls
grow longer
And in his eyes the unrest grows
I wish him stronger
Sometimes i see his fear unfurls
I'm quiet, I hear the murmur
of the machine below me
It's guarding him
And in the moonlight shimmer
I let the wheels see,
when my lights dim
that his shining armour
is loving protection
The voices playful at the door
bring tender touches in his eyes
they clamber in his warm embrace
And I observe
I wonder if he notices how warm I feel
When watching how he plays
with them, and how he tries
Oh how he tries
I wish he'd heal
