They call me a sin for the crime of naps
While greed parades as ambition ornate
In this ruthlessly rushing world, perhaps
It is patience we should appreciate

Michelle, one of my favorite philosophers of the 20th century (John Lennon) wrote "I'm Only Sleeping" and "I'm So Tired" while with the Beatles, and later wrote (in Watching the Wheels Go Round and Round), "People say I'm lazy / Dreaming my life away / Well they give me all kinds of advice / Designed to enlighten me". I think he would share your values expressed in this little gem espousing rest, patience, and a slower, less greedy lifestyle. Well done, and congrats on your POTD ~ John

Not sure if you saw my Joe Walsh quote, but I think it sums up the contrasts pretty well, I am actually not familiar with those John Lennon songs, will have to check them out! Thanks as always for your support, poetry bro :)
