I'M So Thankful

I'm not important because of who I am or what I own, I'm important because of Who owns Me.

I'm so thankful for all that I have, for who and what I am, For health and friends and family and a home to call my own. I eat what I want to eat, not what and when I can. I go when and where I please and no one needs to know. My clothes are not the very best, I don't live in a mansion, but I'm proud to say that it's my own, I need not be ashamed. I have a job and I work hard, I also play a bit, I rest whenever I get tired, if I feel like sitting I sit. I've lived a life of freedom, in peace, security. I'm wealthy beyond wildest dreams for I have all I need. Thank You Father For Thanksgiving Blessings Poetry Contest by Regina McIntosh

Hello Judy ... when I join old friends we all agree that growing up in the fifties and sixties, it was like paradise. unfortunately everything moves too fast for us now. Your poem is special as I think about those days - thank you Judy - Lindsay

I thoroughly liked deciphering your message of thanks. Indeed when we don't believe it, God is always generous. Life is plenty for the majority of the country, and we frequently yield focus on the reality that we can always be appreciative of. This is the sole way to be fulfilled in one's lifetime!

This attitude of gratitude is what we all need ! Be thankful for the moderate comforts we have and never long for too much... the only way to remain contented in life ! These humble lines have more power than a carefully worded and articulated prayer ! Stay blessed, Judy !
