I write dark poetry,
I like to write in cemeteries . . .
of death and sadness
I write poems with tears . . .
What kind of person does this,
does this make me insane?
depressed and lost . . . or what?
I like to write about sorrow,
and to share mine,
maybe that makes me depressing?
See, I am hanging on the edge of reason.
I don't think I am all that crazy you see,
I don't think I am totally sane either (oh no)
I don't think I am all that crazy you see,
I don't think I am totally sane either (oh no)
Writing about my dead beloved
brings me some comfort see . . .
dreaming of floating among headstones
might be somewhat weird I admit,
but I sort of think it is beautiful . . .
With you- I share my tears . . .
And will you let me wipe away yours?
Do I touch your heart and soul, make you weep?
I know we all feel depressed at times, well, I write mine (but)
the words leave me drained and broken in my soul too . . .
I don't think I am all that crazy you see,
I don't think I am totally sane either (oh no)
I don't think I am all that crazy you see,
I don't think I am totally sane either (oh no)
See, I am hanging on the edge of reason.
Some days, I hang my head like a dying flower . . .
Some days, I stand strong like a mighty tree . . .
But, no matter how dark that I write,
trust me, a fire is burning, deep in my soul.
to burn away all the pressure and stress . . .
See, I am hanging on the edge of reason.
I don't think I am all that crazy you see.
I don't think I am totally sane either (oh no)
I don't think I am all that crazy you see,
I don't think I am all that sane either (oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no . . . )
