I'M a Little Flower

I’m a little flower Being seared by the sun My petals are now wilting My life is almost done I’m a little flower My colors are fading fast I’m parched to the core And yet you move on passed You water other flowers Little sprinkles you give me While I struggle to hold on My beauty for you to see I’m a little flower That you once called divine Now you have lost interest I’m no longer glorious...fine I’m a little flower You’ve neglected for a while But I’m still struggling on Longing to see your smile… I’m a little flower This is my final plea Remember my first bloom Promise to revive me Oh, water me, my love My petals now caress I’ll open as before unfurled by tenderness Eileen Manassian Ghali

The beauty of simple words is where usually touching poems are born from. I love how you relay the message, Eileen and the last two stanzas are tender and expressive. hugs // paul

Love what I perceive as a metaphor to a relationship between lovers..love the bougainvillea as I have 6 of varies colors in my yard, seems though the purple one blooms the most for me...again nice video it allows your personality to come through..

You have perceived well. As for the bougainvillea oh...wish I could see all six of them. Must be a sight. I love purple. It's my favorite color. I wanted to do my next segments by the jacaranda trees on campus....beautiful purple flowers...Thanks for the visit and God bless...

Thanks, sweetie. :) Neglect is a very hard thing to deal with....Makes one almost want to give up on life. I don't take it well at all, I'm afraid. Some need more nurture than others....I'm afraid I'm high maintenance, but....the rewards for those who bother...are immense. Thank you, sweetie. Hugs

It's Ok....Arthur. I just needed to thank you for your positive feedback. I can't tell you how much it means to me. It took me a little bit of courage to "expose" myself to my poet friends. I'm a big girl....I wasn't always like this. :( Life has a way of....adding to our cares. ;) Anti-depressants don't help. I also have an under active thyroid. Taking meds for THAT. Oh well....glory days behind me. I can still share my love for poetry. Hugs :)

Just a few things: 1) I made a mistake...Blake wrote The Sick Rose...and not A Red Red Rose...that was by Robert Burns. 2) When I said 4th most viewed poem...I meant 4th most viewed poem of MINE on TPS. You'd know that if you watched the previous 5 episodes. 3) The noise in the background is someone mowing the lawn...My students are pressed for time, so I had to go through with the program. :) Keep those things in mind!! Hugs and thanks for reading and viewing. :) I post new videos on Thursdays!
