I’ll Always Be Loving You

Oh, Babe, I am so in the dark. It’s been so long; been so long . . . For you was it all just a lark? Sometimes when I feel so alone, I think of your face, and it becomes a song: a song so delicious, as sweet as your kisses. How could our love not have been true? Oh, Babe, I’ll always be loving you. Oh, Babe, I don’t know where you are. Years you’ve been gone; you’ve been gone . . . So I think of you, my bright star, while here in the dark of my room. Sweet star of my night and sun of my dawn - Oh, the one I adore; you will glow evermore. How could our love not have been true? Oh, Babe, I’ll always be loving you. Bridge: Your tender caresses; I think of them yet. Your mouth on my lips I’ll never forget. Your smile; your beautiful gaze - in your warmth I could linger for days. Oh, Babe, where oh where could you be? I’ve wondered for years; for years . . . Have you thought at all about me? You appear even now in my dreams, and sometimes I waken, holding back tears - tears for your star-glow that I’m missing so. How could our love not have been true? Oh, Babe, I’ll always be loving you. Oh, Babe, I’ll always be loving you.

Andrea, as a person who has suffered from this in an obsessive manor....I hope you are free from this in actual life. If not, we should talk and figure out how to make these feelings disappear permanently. If there were a pill for this, we could make a fortune. Actually, some of the poetry on the site has some useful advice.

A beautiful lyric. Like you recognize in this poem, it's better to have loved and loss than never to have loved at all.

Well written Lyric poem, Andrea. This could be put to music and be recorded. I imagined it being sung alone the same way as the u-tube you posted. It went well with that music. I'm impressed with your ability to write just about anything you put your mind to. You are an awesome writer / poet. Hugs, Bill

So nice of you to say, Bill. I wish I had the ambition and know how to break into the business of writing lyrics. It all comes down to being in the right place at the right time, but more importantly, who you know.

Dear Andrea, your heartfelt poem is a beautiful expression of enduring love and longing. The imagery of reminiscing about tender moments and holding onto memories in the darkness. I loved your unwavering devotion which shines through each line, painting a portrait of love transcending time and distance. It's a beautiful tribute to the enduring power of love, even in its absence. - Blessings, my friend, Daniel

Awn dear andrea, this is so touching and heartfelt, i love the way youv written this lyrics, in a very poignant manner that flows with the melody of the song that youv chosen as well as the original lyrics. I especially love the bridge and “ Years you’ve been gone; you’ve been gone . . . So I think of you, my bright star, while here in the dark of my room. Sweet star of my night and sun of my dawn - Oh, the one I adore; you will glow evermore” that hit so deep. Im sure will be a winner. BOL
