If I Were In Charge of the World

If I were in charge of the world, I'd abolish all government schools. They are no longer are a place for  respect or freedom of expression. But gladly foster political repression. Each child would be able to attend the school of their choice. Not locked into schools that so sadly, do not serve them. But are mere government tools! I have always felt that children knew far more than teachers. They have their hands on life's heart.  Yes, far more than I with a degree, aye! If I were in charge of the world, you would not be considered a banal color, like a crayon in a box. Nor would you be mockec, humiliated or killed for loving God. You would not be afraid of any words nor ban them. You would learn to respect all countries, especially your own. Teaching all a skill to survive, realizing fully...  That no country can shamelessly steal another countries' wealth to survive with integrity. If I were in charge of the world... There would be the realization that this life is indeed, very short. But to strive for eternal life with God is the best and only goal to be prized. That goal, marks you as wise and extraordinary. And you, deserve a tribute! For you, my sister or brother, are a builder of men, not a destroyer! ~ Panagiota~ Retired Teacher August 22, 2020 11pm PST Category I cannot add.LEADERSHIP" * not an entry in a cintest*

Hi Pangie; I am always reluctant to let a mortal rule the world...but one that speaks truth, as yourself, gets my vote. Can I be head of treasury?:) Have a great evening my friend!

Good Day Prince De Mino! I honestly try to be AUTHENTIC in my poetry and in life. Being authentic, I assure you, is not popular. One must baaaa like the other sheep. You know I don't. Thus, look at the few comments I get, who wants to be known to a friend to an authentic Poet? Out of 30,000 Poets here, very few. The game here is forms. I am not into that. I am into soul. I will accept yourvote and make you head of the treasury, most happily. Pangiexx

Hi Bobby..why thank you. As I said in previous comments, It was a fantasy poem to me. I have trouble handling my own problems))). Talk is indeed cheap. Lots of jaw bones moving but who puts their money where their mouth is? Critics are dime a dozen...,, )!) Panagiota xx

Always felt that everyone has certain strengths. Those are to be developed, as weaknesses are shored up. ~ Larry Bird's philosophy, actually, amazingly enough

Very well thought out! You are a brave lady and we should all be brave and able to discuss our own viewpoints and not be ostracized,

Wouldnt that be great, Kim? I am so glad I grew up in a sane university time. Now English is declared racist, isn't everything, though? We have the right to free speech, but each day words are removed, NASA is changing some Constellation names as the might be considered racist, too. I fear for the chiildren of today...I don't have the arrogance to run this world...it was a fantasy as I told Darlene. Pangie xx

Hi Darlene, it's only a poem!! Please trust me on this. I have no more sense than any world leader. I am keenly aware of my limitations. Intellectually and politically. I have no following, money or am I one to control anything. Call this a fantasy or a wish. Those who want to control this world scare me... Hitler was one of them and Stalin, too. I am just a GRANDMA )) hope you understand. Pangie xx t.Y

Thanks, Bob. I don't think I would win at all but I really, like any leader is fallible, a human being and nothing more, every leader has feet of clay. Voters forget, we are the ones who put them in office. The minute anyone is elected, even their friends are planning their downfall. I have seen this in action. Thanks, Panagiota xx

Well written Panagiota, your last stanza sums it up, life is short. How you've lived your life is what you'll be judged on. Tom

Thanks Tom. I will agree on all points you said. I have been sitting on this for an entire month. I am blessed to have lived a life longer than most. And in that next life, nobody wants to be spend their life in Hades. What we do here is human. After death...eternity is a long time. Beyond my conception! Thank you,,Pangie.
