If, My Darling
If, My Darling, you are the last to turn out the light please kiss my memory as you leave. Rearrange my hat and keys, pull hard if the door still sticks. I know. I never got around to it. Remember always, the Tuesday Ring and our scheduled “Honey Days”. Are the roses in bloom? Don’t worry about the “check engine” light. I checked – it’s still there. So many things left undone, unsaid. There was never enough time – for us. Yet we spent an eternity together and it was too short. I shall walk slowly ahead so take your time and always remember ours.
eternity
loves forever deception
scents lingering
