I Wonder Why

The moon shines tonight But I only see the darkness Of the news my lifetime friend received Tears fall in the cold air Because life is not fair, not fair! Under the face of the moon, I think of the phases in life Although the moon shines full now, A piece has been taken from life below As I stand in the moonlight and wonder why? Heidi Sands 11/23/18
