I Need Prayers My Friends - Please Spread The Word

By now I thought I would have returned to Poetry Soup. Many of you know I care for my bed ridden mother 24/7 at my home where I have set up a mini hospital situation.

Some of you may not know I am a single Father with two young Daughters 22 and 19. My eldest daughter after being clean for 11 months is now struggling with addiction again.

She relapsed about three months ago. We tried a detox center but that failed. Now she is trying to detox at home with my help. Today is day four. So far it has been very hard on her. She also tells me the cravings are very hard on her but she is fighting the good fight.

I am asking for prayers for my daughter. Thank You with all my love in advance. Please feel free to post your own requests for prayers. We all need friends at times.

I will do my best to get around to reading and commenting on your poems my friends when ever I find time.

On a completely unrelated topic not pertaining to my daughter I have an old series of poems I wrote all on the same topic from one of the contests "I Think Of You" that of course I never entered.

Here is part 0 from that series. Each poem is meant to stand on its own but the whole series tells a complete story.

I Think Of You - A Horrendous Night (Part 0)

Two a.m....
I open my window 

...a crack,

the dark is blinding.

It is a severe cold outside 
a stream of freezing air seeps in.

Two fifteen a.m....
I open my window another crack,

struggling to sleep...!

Eyes closed, 
I count from one thousand to one
it might as well be ten thousand.

Still not use to a lonely bed
six of my senses explode like
a dandelion globe in a tornado...I 

i think of you.

Raise the white flag,
wait the sunrise.
Wasn't it an eon ago 
I drank the sunset?

It's never lost on me 
I always ingest miracles slowly.

It's freezing cold now in my room...I think!
I feel everything...I feel nothing.

My face buried in both my hands...I

i think of you...

I know this lost, lonely feeling. It is almost like a numbness that is difficult to regain, but the feeling will eventually return... This is a deep and very emotive write, Armand. I can feel your pain here... I am so sorry to hear about the struggles you are going through. Things will get better soon, they always do. Take care :)

Wow, intense, I love your descriptions- a dandelion globe in a tornado- an eon ago I drank the sunset-Wow you make me feel with every letter..

So sorry to hear about your daughter. I do hope that things return to normal, soon. Regarding this poem...wonderfully done; I am right there with you.

Maurice, first let me say how sorry I am for the problems you are having to deal with in your life, god bless, and now to this poem, I decided to start at the beginning of the series, the writing is amazing, never stop writing for you have a great talent and remember writing is very healing, a perfect 7 rating from me and thank you for taking the time to visit my poem, thinking in . .
