I Remember When

I remember when I remember when...I was just a little boy everyday was a new adventure, a brand new toy I remember when...I was ten years old my little sister was born, blond hair ten toes. I remember when...I first gave a girl a kiss her smile was something that for years I missed I remember when...I got my licence to drive my life on the road started never stayed inside. I remember when... I left home for good sixteen was far too young but I knew I should I remember when...I first fell in love thought love was forever, a thing dreams were made of. I remember when...I moved to a distant land In my time of trial I learned to take God's hand I remember when...I first saw my loving wife's face I knew it was forever God's gift of a loving embrace. I remember when...we were married for ten years we had had happy life but we also shed some tears I remember when...we were married for twenty years we learned what true love is, conquered all our fears. Today I still feel like when I was just a little boy Everyday is a new adventure, a brand new toy. John Derek Hamilton March 31,2016

Thanks Freddie for looking up this older poem, and for commenting, nostalgia is good sometimes!
