I Miss You

I remember us and pretend castles and dreams— You are an everlasting craving for me. My guts churn for your dear kiss— This moving world you create is my bliss. With hungry hands, I claw your window pane To smear my fingerprints in the rain. Your reflection in the glass cuts the skin deep— My blood is so fierce it frightens me. I want your heart to always be mine— With all the light and dark in me I pine. If I can ever unchain my life— My love, I will storm doors, as your knight.

This was for me, a powerful and special poem. I had someone like this in my life once. Your 5th stanza is my favorite. I'm glad to have found for me, a powerful and lovely poem.

Couplets.. you're making me swoon :) I love the absolute purity of two line rhyme. This gave me goosebumps as I read it not an easy thing to do! "I want your heart to always be mine— With all the light and dark in me I pine." That is scrumptious poetry. A.S.
