I hope no one else gets hurt

I broke a glass bowl such dangerous shards from something we lived with without fear for two decades I've removed all traces of glass but I'm sure it will harm the children it's invisible to the eye so precariously close to the edge it was probably there yesterday but somehow survived though today it was knocked that's that it can't be put back together

I hope it wasn't a favorite bowl. You are correct, shards left can be dangerous. I have been cut when picking them up. That said, the flow of the poem is dynamic, and of interest to anyone who has raised children. Thank you for this read..

There's always a bit missed... It wasn't a favourite but it was a useful size. Thank you for the kind words on the poem, you are a wonderful support to me :)

Sorry:( I usually find those things because I was born without shoes, so I don't usually wear them around the house. Nice Write, Ed

I usually pat everywhere down with my hands, hopefully they'll get me instead. I believe bread is good too. I used wet kitchen towel and listened for any scratchy noises to protect the feet of the innocent :) thanks for your comment - I'm likely to try your contest if I feel like a genius again any time soon :)

oh, little shards of glass, real and metaphorical, are sometimes invisible...powerful words. Sometimes when someone of something breaks, those little broken pieces sometimes can be put back together. A thought-provoking read...hope you have a pleasant evening, Sara

Thanks Sara, it was a 20 year old bowl I broke but let my mind wander as I cleared it up. Last time I broke one from that set my daughter ended up with the tiniest piece of glass in her toe and had to have it removed at hospital - it's also quite good for parallels I thought. Thanks for your kind words x
