I Had a Dream

I went to a garden beautiful one sunny day, and found an old brick church built; among lovely green and flower blooms, but the door was locked and a sign read - do not open. So, I turned back to the garden with a sigh, but found the flowers had turned to headstones; in rows and rows and rows and it was dark, and that is when I began to scream ! _________________________ May 17, 2019 Poetry/Verse/I Had A Dream Copyright Protected, ID 19-1144-941-2 All Rights Reserved. Cool, dark, chilling perfection --- screaming into the night. Here's hoping Brian likes it too. :) gw

This is cool. I dig how it's just rolling along the way Robert Frost says we all have to roll right up until it rolls off the ledge and slips into something a little more comfortably worn in the dark. Solid stuff, yo.

I truly love this dark piece my dear friend. The shock value in the flowers turning into headstones verse, is so effective in gifting fear, imagination and a chill. A fav.. a true dark gem..
