I Felt Like

I felt like I was seven years old,                                                                    when you came into my life.                                                                                That Saturday many years go,                                                                        was a bright and sunny day.                                                                            You were my Easter gift,                                                                                   a magical gift from the boys.                                                                                       Each day we would wear makeup,                                                                              oh how you loved your pink blusher upon your cheeks.                                            At night we brushed our teeth,                                                                             you then~me and off to bed we would go.                                                           I felt like the years,                                                                                                   were passing way too fast.                                                                            Another year would come,                                                                                  with a cupcake holding one burning candle for you.                                     
The many car rides with music blasting,                                                          going shopping along our busy way.                                                                I felt like I was going to die,                                                                           the day heaven came and took you far away.
