I Am Your Mirror
I watch you as you watch you
As you lift and twist, pose and preen
In billows of shampoo scented steam
I see into your privacy
Your warts and bumps, and patches of hair
That you strip or primp, depending on where
It shows, or lacks - even the map of your back
Unseen by you, I know it too
The scars and lines you cover for pride
All of you bare, no inch to hide
Here you confess the mortality of your flesh
And I, your judge - or absolution,
Reflected within my glass reality
Where you watch you, as I watch you.
