I am a fat Christmas tree. With tinsel, I sparkle by the fire filling hearth and home with yuletide cheer providing precious memories throughout many a year. I’m not fancy—adorned with strung popcorn, beaded cranberries. I’m decorated with vintage glass spider ornaments from old country. No sparkling crystal or diamond can take their place of value on my limbs. I reside in the living room, rich in family tradition and love, filled with joy of holiday spirit. A fat Christmas tree I am.

How beautiful, Sara...! The classics never die, because in many ways are genuine. Anyway, it doesn't matter, what it matters is the glee that surrounds the moment, especially the memories and the happy time shared with our beloved ones. Stunning one. LovexxxxMaría

Super personification Sara. I especially like the traditional, not fancy, version of the decorated tree. I still have a few ornaments that armor than three-quarters of a century old...priceless. :)

thanks for your visit, Linda, and for your love of simple tree decorating. Thanks for sharing your story about some of your ornaments. I have some of my folks ornaments from the 50s and a German spider ornament, a German tradition. Putting up our tree tomorrow. Have a splendid evening, Sara

Wow how clever of you to do this in the shape of a tree. Must have been hard work cus i did a shape poem once and it was hard. And its creative that its also a personification.”No sparkling crystal or diamond can take their place of value on my limbs. I reside in” i love that the most here how gorgeous, for some reason i find christmas trees really pretty. I wonder whats the history behind choosing this particular tree as the tree, in every house. But it still is so beautiful. Another fave

You're right, Ink, the shape poem was hard...that's why the tree ended up 'fat.' I just finally gave up and submitted the poem anyway. :-) I, too, love Christmas trees, especially the smell. I'm not sure of the history behind choosing a pine tree. I'll have to research that...was it originally German in origin? Thanks for the fav and for being my inspiration. Have a splendid week ahead, hugs, Sara
