Congratulation on the placement of this piece. Things do look dim, but faith and love with prevail, if we do not weaken. Stand strong, keep writing my friend.

Congratulations, Silent One, on such a profound and starkly and tragically truthful poem. A fine representative top 100 poem. I pray the sad events of the poem will finally cease. ~

Monorhyme is new to me. Living in the last days, you expressed how bad it is, and so sad to know will only get worse, Why? Because the love of the many has grown cold. Congrats on a poem of greatness.

War is a pattern that needs to be broken...but as you state, "Music keeps playing, Teachers keep teaching, etc." Maybe someday the positive will outweigh the negative to the point that the negative cannot grow. There's always hope. Congrats to you for being at the top of the 100 Best New Poems list!

This is a wonderful example of mono rhyme - a powerful picture of the saddest and cruelest things happening every day in our world, today and tomorrow. Your pen is strong, your heart is kind - together you create exceptional poems, Dear SO. Adding this to my Faves. Best wishes ~

This great poem written in monorhyme is a true mirroring of our present war torn world where even babies are mercilessly butchered and mothers keep crying. This refrain in the poem tugs at my heart strings. Congratulations on this being placed second among the top hundred poems.

Its very powerful. I had to read it twice. So interesting as you had me from “Politicians keep lying/Hate keeps breeding” because for what is going on politically today, it’s so true. It sends a message of people are doing their thing while all of this crap is going around them, and the people we are supposed to lean on for help are still doing what they’ve always done which really does not serve the people anymore. This poem made me think which is wonderful. Thanks for sharing it!

All of it is true S. O. Really great use of the Monorhyme form with that internal repetition of the intransitive verb ‘keep’ I want to fave this to read again. TRUTH IS ETERNAL. SuZ

We all die a little death our emotions crash and crest as we see the evil man can do to people just like me and you and none of it is progress Love this Silent One. I can't play with the forms like you do yet. But mayhap some day. I will let your writings simmer in my heart and head to instruct by instinct instead. thank you

War, what an unnecessary and costly thing. Military intervention has mostly failed leaving rivulets of blood and despair beyond belief. A powerful write S1. Humanity keeps bleeding World keeps sleeping. Does look that way. When is it ever going to stop? Hugs

Wow..I have no words to do this masterpiece Justice! Your haunting piece has touched me so deeply..the truth of your words has me reeling in the raw fear and hate we see and continue to see..past, present and future..as a mother, I cry, more than feeling the unbearable heartbreak and despair these mothers feel in every corner of their souls..as a person who loves and prays for peace everyday, my heart and soul is pounding in pain..you’ve truly woven this piece with the darkest truths..

Sad but true, every line speaks truth. Humanity keeps on being inhumane. Stellar write although horrific subject matter!
