Holiday Humour Limericks Contest Sponsored by Tania Kitchin 10/31/24

Cute ghosties and witches are seen And monsters are part of this scene Here it’s called ‘Hop Tu Naa’ It’s quite easy to say We never say it’s Halloween! Each Thanksgiving I eat beef jerky Thus saving the life of a turkey Someone killed that poor cow So I’m sobbing hard now And moving to vegan Las Kerky!

Congrats, Jan. Sorry, but you didn’t save that turkey… I just had a slice of him in a sarnie. Apologies.

I don’t get how a Tuna can have one leg. Always turkey for me at Christmas… and for days afterwards, by which time I don’t want to see another turkey… till next Christmas. Enjoyed your holiday limericks, Jan. Terry

i have stopped eating red meat, it seems to have an adverse effect on me but eat everything else. My Neurologist stopped my previous medication and put me on one whose one side effect is weight loss, so I happily munch all day long. As for Halloween, well what happened in its aftermath my next poem, is another gruesome bloody story . Fantastic limericks dear Jan, hugs blessings Jennifer

Hi agree Jan, you cannot beat a warming stew with dumplings on a cold winter's day, wish you well with your book. Xx

I'd prefer Irish stew over turkey any day or a nice beef stew with dumplings!:-) I'm so excited, I've got the book cover design almost finalised - the guy is a genius at interpreting my wishes!:-) hugs Jan xx

Dear Jan, Being a Vegan, this was a very humorous and enjoyable read. How could it not be a winner? Maybe Vegan Jerkey! Autumn Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

I've pondered (as a vegetarian) the fact that eating a cow rather than a chicken (or frogs legs!) feeds many more haha ahh those turkeys though, they never know which way to vote. Good luck in the contest x

Your well into the holiday mood Jan, shame about the turkeys and cows, it amazes me how the IOM has its own culture. Watching the video reminded me of the wicker man yikes. Tom
