Her Death

If Time were only the sweep of hands, subjects mere tiny clicks~ then we could tinker with metal sands, and springs to determine life's short or eternal ticks; but unlike the glass, that tilts, and turns, and drips, one's sense of real loss with dear passing profound... though yet I am here...I have been told...since your tragic unwound, Time for me came to an unraveling stop with the last shovel topping off earth's too often dispassionate ground –

Time will one day stop. But until then it will continue to tick on and on until we tick no more.

Thank you, Victor; a wise and beautiful comment. Time is like that vibration that travels an ocean, all that it touches and sees till it dissolves into the prancing feet of child and the shore of a great continent.

In nature it would seem Flora and fauna dont know time. Time does not exist for them, The seasons change and the day turns to night , but these are happenings not time. In the human world distance changes but not time, time is an illusion. When she left this world time only seemed to stand still. What a beautiful poem you wrote Joe. Its a masterpiece in its own right.

Exactly! Beautifully said. I like to think, if it could be summarized, like trying to summarize a universe, time, in a nutshell (and out of the nutshell) is our nearness and distance from God. All else are integers and intervals.

Just some added context on time. Time is unchangeable...in fact, it does not exist outside of consciousness. Part of this misunderstanding we can give blame to Einstein. Along the faulty experiments to prove his theory. Our understanding of Time is like our understanding of math~ 1+1 means nothing, without the apples and oranges. What changes is not Time, but the distance between conscious recognition. Distance changes...and not Time.
