I am back and will slowly be reading on soup..

Written inspired by the Song " Heaven's missing an Angel" by Glenn Hughes, this song resonates with me right now.
For the Hughes Turner Project Contest sponsored by Robert James L

S p a r k s of magic g l i s t e n beyond ice and fire, as you are the balmy flare that never dims~ amidst the rolling ferris of fate… Tonight… I write your name on Hathor’s crown of the sycamore sunset, with majestic beams of lotus lakes~ epitomizing the empyrean, for I feel the fervency that surrounds your presence, while the mountains veil the milky-quartz light above the valleys of the Nile where Cleopatra’s crescent shimmers in sync to the mellifluous memories of our love~ that feared not the scorpio haze of sandstorms. O beloved, when silence engulfs the deserted dreamscape, I hear the suppressed songs reverberating within your moonstone mind~ stirring my sleepless stars, to rise and burn in tourmaline tones of timeless twilight, as you’ve found the rippling route to my sea-deep haven, that awaits your embrace, while I float like dust of a nocturnal nebula, longing to caress the tenderness of your butterfly skin, cradling this chrysalis heart, when hope feels like an alienated metaphor of misery and melancholy. Yet, I see you, through the darkness that dwells in the cave of dusks, and words we wrote are the sonorous lyrics that nightingales croon, a reminder from heaven that you are an alluring adjective that fits between synonyms of eternity; there you swayed and swirled, there you were in the season of winged stillness. O bejeweled azure, I ponder, are you a feather from the Elysian? The smile you wear resembles white topaz, like the silhouette of jasmines splattering golden wine upon forlorn fields, as heaven’s missing an angel, ushering me to dance to the sound of ferocious winds. Who am I to question the stained stones of destiny? I breathe and I break~ I am mere human, dressed in empathetic elements of emeralds and ashes of forsaken love. But if I were to dream in a glass casket of black dahlias, remember, you’ve always been my strength. I will forever be the shadow that never abandons you, walking beside you~ like a galaxy of kismet kisses. So, when I am gone, if the world suffocates your fragile psyche, close your eyes, inhale serenity, soaked in sandalwood scents. There, beneath dancing diamonds and crawling clouds, you’ll feel my spirit, as you are my muse and music, poetry that tamed the epileptic phase of romance like a perpetual paroxysm, conquering Lilith’s liberation. ~ You are the p o e t i c pulse I feel through ink and r a i n ~

This is a raw beautiful piece. Feels like a shed for everything you want. A lover's call, an amazing read. "where Cleopatra’s crescent shimmers in sync to the mellifluous memories of our love~ that feared not the scorpio haze of sandstorms." A love like this cannot be won over by any earthly thing. You've written this with so much emotion, and I can feel the energy and time put in to create this wonderful piece. A psalm of pure romance. Love the imagery and the alliterations used.

IE, I really admire what you've created here. You really captured the song's essence. I listened to the song and realized you're writing about a person out there who would be a perfect fit for you. It's fun to think of this idealistic view of love and companionship and it makes me smile internally. Some of us do get very lucky in this regard and some not. Lately, I've found it depends on the work we put into being helpful and faithful to what we set out to do. Not an easy feat at all and any lack of finding it can create the kind of longing you describe so expressively in your work.

This is a poem that like a complicated weaved lace, produces evocative imagery with assimilated mythology and emotions. I always admire how you build up a lyrical, dreamlike atmosphere. Best for a win.

"I float like dust of a nocturnal nebula, longing to caress the tenderness of your butterfly skin, cradling this chrysalis heart" Simply rocking poetry! How you celebrate your past love in glowing words and metaphors. Dear Empress, this is one of the best love poems I have read recently. Real love lives on eternally even after its ephemeral existence. Each line in your poem pulses with love and life. "you are my muse and music, poetry that tamed the epileptic phase of romance like a perpetual paroxysm, conquering Lilith’s liberation." Wow! A sure winner and into my FAVE.

Dearest Ink, Your amazing poetry delves into the depths of love and connection, showing the beloved as a muse and source of strength among life's challenges. It captures the junction of human emotions, nature, and the metaphysical, implying that real love defies life on earth and stays vibrated long after loss. The poetry includes vivid images and metaphors. It explores the appeal and anguish of longing for a lover, weaving together themes of nature, mythology, and human feeling. Your language is attractive and poetic, with terms like "empyrean," "moonstone," "tourmaline," and "chrysalis" evoking lush imagery and conveying intricate feelings. Thanks for your support. Warm hugs

Dear Empress, You always take me and the readers on an odyssey, blending celestial metaphors with incandescent depth. On this interpretation of Hughes song I felt and could sense that every line pulsed with fervent eloquence, love and longing in an ethereal vision. You always create the best imagery such as Hathor’s crown, moonstone mind, and kismet kisses. You certainly transcended the temporal on this one, embodying an eternal ache wrapped in exquisite beauty. Your well placed words are an entrancing alchemy of passion and poetic prose. I do not have to reach far to FAV! Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
