Heart of Seduction
Listen to poem:
Glasses half full of wine,
quiet motion from curtains, an open window
a low red sunset in view behind melting candles
eyes lifting slowly, inviting
lover's dance to soft sounds from a saxophone,
urging them to join its orgasmic rhythms
A fragile long stem rose, wet from the rain,
placed between tender palms
A small symbol of the coming night
A kiss, inviting emotion of lover's seeking refuge
when every touch burns flesh,
without care or concern
and passion is driven by the hungered fragrance of need,
as scented sweat fills the air with exhilaration,
tightening arms from whispered breath
eyes filled with want, languishing briefly,
in a warm penetrating sense of anticipation
as the cool night closes in,
and the world disappears,
bound by a need to share vulnerability
