What a nice take on the pic, Jan. Maybe the chlorine will have an adverse affect on the critters. Sometimes it's seems a bit strong to me after recent additions. Delightful limerick.

Jan, it's cool in the pool, but the lice are really tough nuts!! Your poem is funny and brings a smile to my face. BTW, I knew a real knit-picker. A school I taught in had several cases of head lice and we tried to deal with it without using pesticides. It can be a nasty problem and can spread. Ouch!!!

Hi Jan, made me want to scratch my poetic itch and remember our sons bouts with these nasty critters! So clever! This limerick is definitely born from the depths of your creativity and your marvelous sense of humor! As I said before MORE! MORE! You always brighten my day with a giggle or two or three or...Blessings and hugs!

This is a darling limerick of how a child views the world. Problems seem easy to solve when one is young.

He does not realize nothing kills those suckers except poison shampoo. When my daughter got it years ago, it was such a nightmare. We had to cut her beautiful long hair short because the nits stick to each hair. Good one, Jan.

lol thanks Andrea, of course the poem uses poetic licence I only used a nit comb when son got them and it worked fine - no lotions or potions! hugs Jan xx

tsk tsk, Andrea. In this Limerick the boy is a child. Of course he doesn't know how to kill lice.
