My Baby softly sleeps and dreams of me His parted lips entice to revelry He does not know I watch him as he sleeps Nor that his wants and needs his angel keeps I hear him breathe serenely, and I sigh Oh how I wish to him I could draw nigh To wake him with a kiss upon his cheek The thought of which just leaves me trembling, weak My lips and hands I stay, in agony My heart is burning with expectancy That he’ll awake and smiling reach for me And whisk me to MY dreamland fantasy For now I will await that blessed time When man child wakes and makes me feel sublime Eileen Manassian

Sort of reminds me of a sleeping volcano! You patiently watch...feeling it breathe...anticipating what lies in wait once it awakens. You are ready for it...prepared to match his lava hot passion by yours. Did somebody say soft and gentle? I think it's just the calm before the tempest!:) hugs // paul

It is so beautiful Eileen I can see the couple in my mind, the expection and need only just held in check. such soft words man child, create a picture of nurturing and deep love. It was not what i had expected from the title, however there is no dissapointment this is such a tender work i think it one of the best you have penned. You are indeed an enchantress sent to bewtch those who gaze upon your beauty through your verse. It must be 7 and like almost all of your poems into my fav's love Shane

I am late to the party but I agree with what everyone has written -- Brilliant Indeed! My thoughts goes back to the man -- I believe he has been ridden hard, exhausted he sleeps deeply . . . recharging for in the morning, the early morning he will fill it with light and love for his lady, his Little One!! 7

YOU SURE ARE! Where you been? Ridden hard....oh, David. That threw me off. He may be ridden hard at work....and need sleep desperately, but who knows if that won't be the case when he wakes up? Only this time...it will be fun! Dear dear...Thanks for the visit. Always a pleasure. You need to pass by more often, my dear. Hugs

Ohhhh how you savor every nuance of his masculine flesh...every spark and breath of his vulnerable innocence...keeping him safe and sighing for the touch of your voice, the magic of your body Eileen. A man blessed with all your beauty. He keeps your kiss alive in his heart. This is poetry of the heart Eileen...J.A.B.

Hello, Eagle. How glad I am to have you visit me! :) When you don't visit, I become sad....and am liable to pout. The beauty of a man is not just his masculine strength and prowess, Justin, but...his vulnerability and his need for a woman to breathe her love into his soul. A strong man has a strong woman who fights for him, nurtures him, and heals and binds his battle wounds. :) Thank you for your kind sweet comment. You brightened up my evening.

I wrote it in a tender mood, Jan. :) I'm fire and brimstone...but I'm also soft as gentle rain. ;) How is that for a poetic response..... Thanks, Jan. You're a darling.
