He Lied
Whipped
Sharp, stinging pain
Dripping scarlet from my heart
Stabbed
Torturing, horrible agony
Shooting up my spine
Pounding
Throbbing
Hurting
Tears stain my cheeks
My cheeks, my cheeks
Rushing down
A waterfall of misery
A thunderstorm
Each flash another streak of lightening
Trickling across my heart
Each rumble of thunder my screams
Ear-piercing, sorrowful screams
Each echo of rain pummeling the ground
The tears that pummel my face
Shattered soul
Beyond repair
Despair
Despair
Despair, despair
He broke my heart
He killed my soul
Mercilessly flinging me
Into a hole
Deep hole
Awful hole
I whimper
I cower
He left me, he left me
I’m dying
It hurts
Whispered lies of
“I love you”
Ringing loudly in my head
He lied, he lied
HE LIED
He lied
