Halloween Bows At Feline's Meow
Halloween Meow
Pert black feline bosoms blossom
Stepping its paws nonchalantly
Along the length of the gauntly
Elder-oak; towards mocking owl.
With a sullen pout the sun goes down
Until the twilight hours of dawn.
Black lace caresses the lustrous,
Beguiling Harvest Moon's wondrous
Magical mystique. Leaves glitter
In a spell trance and dance in the
Moonlight whilst an occasional
Owl loudly sings in darkness plight.
The feline extends low and rigid,
Back and forth flicking tail as the
Night bows at the brooding shadows
Of witching hour; whilst its desires
Quench, lips lick forbidding entry
For the whiskered grey country mouse.
Quivering with fear falling, falling, falling,
The moon slowly swallowed up by the sun.
Feline curls its tail around his legs ,
Up into a ball and falls asleep.
