Post Covid, my scalp has been shedding Hair covers the pillow and bedding There’s tresses on the floor If I lose any more The prospect of baldness I’m dreading! A great deal of poetic licence about hair in the bed but since I’ve had covid I’ve noticed strands of hair on the floor and also a friend has had the same thing happen 11/27/21

This dreadful disease has many side effects. One of my friends has been complaining of terrible hair fall in the post covid period. You have made it very humorous !

I could lose a cup of hair a day and I would still have thick hair; so this made me smile. After a shower I have to eliminate a cup or two of hair out of the bottom of the shower.

Heya Jan it’s pretty commonplace to have excessive hair loss after lots of different illnesses, your body will recover over time and so will your barnet, no end in sight to this covid, I think we’ll just have to learn to live with it, for a while longer, cheers David

Alopecia sound like a menu choice in a fancy French restaurant and alopecia areata sounds like an Italian opera, but will eventually pass, one way or the other! Naught to worry as we can only see your poems! Aloha! Rico

Jan, I began losing hair years ago. Yet new hair bravely grows in. My dermatologist (who I didn't like after this) said you have (some scary name) but you probably won't go bald before you die. (A pox on him!) Don't worry ~ it happens, I guess when hormones give up. There are lots of cute wigs :) Or, we could become hair stylists haha

Wow! So many terrible effects of this dreadful disease! You are well and strong - that's most important. No worries, hair will grow back soon. Love and hugs ~ Mala

Sorry to hear of this, Jan, but I’m glad that otherwise you’re feeling better. It is so strange that people have so many different effects of Covid…

So glad you survived Covid. My auntie did not and we did not get to even view her body. (cremated) Hair can grow back or wigs can be used but you are irreplaceable so I am happy you survived!

There were rules about her body and covid so we did not get to see her when she was dying or after. The funeral was with video and her urn.

The effects and aftereffects of Covid are quite interesting. Of the folks I have met who had it, none have experienced exactly the same symptoms or aftereffects. Hope you get your hair back really soon. So glad to know you are feeling stronger.
