This is so sad . I hope you can realize that she does not want you to feel guilty and in fact, she is happy to be in heaven waiting for you, Dear Heart. congrats on your win. (in case this is based on reality. I never realized when she died that you were not with her)

Andrea, thank you so much for your compassion, and congrats. This is true. I was with my Mom in her last gasp of life but did not care for her, the nurses did that. I wish that I would have brought her home to die in her own bed, at home with her sweet cat beside her and all that she loved. Too late now !

Hello Constance..Do you think you are the only One who doubts their actions.? I have plenty of Regrets.' ' the old Anglican plea goes Dear God we have sinned against you and our fellow man Through negligence through weakness through Our own deliberate fault.' We are truly sorry and Repent of our sin. I don't know if that is still in Use in services now? Yet it was a true etching Almost of human failings ' I will pray for you its the best I can offer, God bless and keep you.'

No, you should not have guilt about what you did about your mom's care. You did the best you could at the time, under those circumstances so don't feel guilty. Rejoice in the fact she is at home in heaven waiting on your coming home to meet her once again. Thanks for sharing. Sara
