Guiding Principles

An unattended cigarette outside spews smoke signals yet the shortened life has left the scene When I dissolve into despair creating plumes of poetry what am I doing to myself Why does how to breathe have to be explained - instinct has us flailing
the art of living should come so naturally yet we need a guide

lovely imagery in just a few lines. The ending resonated with me. Why do we sometimes think figuring out life will be easy. It's not...a challenge for everyone everyday. Wishing you a wonderful Saturday, Sara

I suppose the idea that everyone has it figured out seems real, I'm good at lots of the being a responsible adult stuff - all apart from the 'was it the right thing to do' thoughts that follow . Saturday done and dusted, rocky start but all fine by close of play x

Plumes of our poetry can be smoke signals, even if we're the only one who can read their meaning. Living can be at our own hands, Dilly and if we are the painter, sculptor, etc, we guide our hands, but outside forces can have a great deal of infulence over what we create... as poetry as well as life courses.
