It can be interpreted on two levels either with death or the breakdown of a marriage I deliberately penned it so people could interpret it in their own way:-) hugs Jan xx

Read the comments below and Congrats on your win!The poem is sad. The heart is a good symbol, but it is the feeling you miss the most. Take care of yourself Jan.

Oh, this is lovely, Jan! You're right - great minds DO think alike (But then again, there aren't ALL that many poetic uses for a locket so maybe our minds aren't THAT great, we're just part of the common paradigm) Anyway, smarty pants, congrats on your win! xoxo

This is such a lovely piece but sad also. The couple are either split or one has died and all that is left is the photograph of happier days. Touching write. love phyl

Photographs, the vital ink to memories. When they were happy, when they were well, when the joy of life coursed through their veins. Love endures in equal proportion to the pain. Kind regards Ian

Oh, you're really good with this! I think it is more powerful this way, the repetition about the picture tells all the angst. Hope to see among the top, Jan. hugs! ps. Gosh, I have to catch up on my reading! Be back later! hugs
