Good Dreams of You

Softly; slowly the waves caress the beach Gulls sing their somber song to the beat As Gymnopedies is being played by Satie Inviting the waves and gulls to hum along The tune matches the gray of the morning Where Cobalt blue mountains reflect Off the almost silver water Geese fly around the sound heading back to warmth As the pale orange sun slowly crosses the sky Going into the night Where there is only Gymnopedie and full moonlight To sleep and gently dream good dreams of you

Magnificent images, Sara, and a soothing sense of serenity in this amazing poem. What a lovely way to fall asleep, listening to the piano melodies beneath the moonlight. I'll try to remember this scene as I try to sleep tonight. Excellent poem! Wishing you happy holidays filled with peace, contentment and love, Carolyn
