GOOD-BYE

Good-bye… Simply a word? What essence is encased Within this single utterance? The alchemy of optimism? The enigma of uncertainty? Good-bye… A blend of hope and the unseen? Fracturing moments of farewell? Aromatic vows dissipating In the fluxes of fate? The chiaroscuro of existence? Good-bye… A poet's silent elegy Where love, loss, and longing Converge and dissolve? A kaleidoscope of emotions, promises Distilled into a single breath? Good-bye…

Hey there my friend. I'm still lurking on the peripheral...hanging out with the grandkids and great grandkids. Also, had to go through some good ole radiation treatments, but everything's coming around. Thanks for checking on me. See you later.

Goodbye has got happy and equally sad connotations. Often it is a parting word.... parting from a relationship or simply a well meaning wish to someone going away. You have touched upon the different contexts in which this word is uttered. Beautifully composed, dear Mickey.

Goodbye is the most painful and heart shattering word I've come across in my life experience. But how beautifully sad it is. How heartbreakingly beautiful it is. Loved reading your poem, dear friend

Hi Darlene. How true are your words. Your observation reveals how "good-bye" holds optimism and sorrow in equal measure. For me, "good-bye" is never just a word; it's a paradox, a bridge between presence and absence, between certainty and the unknown. For now, it's my message to all who read. Thank you so much for visiting, reading, and especially for commenting. Thanks again my friend. For now—good-bye.
