God Gave Me You
Before the night fall hit the indigo sky-
God bowed down for you and I.
Before the sunshine met with the dew-
God allowed me to love only you.
Before the autumn met icy snow-
God freed me from a dark life alone.
Before the earth was even created,
God came down, our love was stated.
Before the storm made the rainbow-
God bestowed a passion to us below.
Finally, before time became a thing,
God made us with tender hearts that sing.
