There once was a girl from Kentucky, Who bought a horse named Lucky. She bet all her dough, But the horse wouldn't go, Which made the girl feel quite yucky. 8/5/19 For Kevin Shaw State Limerick contest

G'day Kim … gambling and luck in the end equals broke. It's the adrenaline that would have kept the girl from Kentucky interested - thank you Kim - Lindsay

this is adorable...it made me flash back to childhood when my father took us to the races and he would tell us all to pick a horse, i always picked them by name and usually had the odds against me but sometimes the horse would surprise even me....nice limerick....good luck in the contest

As a native Kentuckian, you've go that right. I have yet to gamble on the ponies, seen too many lose.
