Garden Sunflowers

Orange and yellow smiles offer up nutritious seeds, black oil nutty treats for birds and me. Nurtured by nature and the bees sunflowers generosity is unbounded, tall standing sentinels of summer inspire serenades from the finches. I pop a seed into my mouth, yummy nutty goodness and listen to their songs; warm elation inundates my spirit.

The National Flower of the Ukraine is a sunflower, which isn't doing them much good this year! Save some seeds for next year! Aloha!
