wheat-hued hill —
full-bodied crow struts his stuff.
low-flying robins
underneath the rain’s stratum
whizz by
as I
observe the bird’s eye view.
downcast, i
pedal home —
auto tires glide
through bile pools
distilled with pollen.
ornamental blossoms, pretty in cherry—
fallen petals encircle the Kanzan tree.
yellow-gold forsythia rises
in the drizzle-dusting of midday.
where sunshine’s deposed
behind bleak clouds—
my eyes, weary, fall
behind window panes.
