Forgotten Promises
FORGOTTEN PROMISES
Sometimes I remember to forget you,
Of the promiscuous promises you made
That came from your hardened heart,
Those unfortunately unfulfilled words
That spoke of hollow hopes,
Those vacant verses of love...
Those vacuous vows of surreal surrender
That communicated meaningless messages,
Your pleading pledge of forevermore,
Those emotionlessly empty remarks of togetherness...
Your promises were my prominent problems,
Your falsified words, my worst fears,
Your vows became my woes...
That's why sometimes I forget to remember you.
