Forgiveness Is the Best Way

Forgiveness is the best way (Duet) (He sings) You're the most precious person to me, and, I know you bruise so easily, but, sometimes I say things I don't mean, and I know you hurt inside-then I go and hide (She sings) The easy part is loving each other, but with hurtful words we cut one another but, then we realize what we've done and that we are both, only human Chorus-(Both sing) I see the sun is going down, and, I see that you are coming 'round Can you forgive the things I said and did? Being resentful is no way to live! Forgiveness is the best way (He sings) We need to practice showing more kindness, but, we need constant reminders, We're living in such imperfect flesh, Can we learn to forgive and forget? Chorus (Both sing) I see the sun is going down, and, I see that you are coming 'round Can you forgive the things I said and did? Being resentful is no way to live! Forgiveness is the best way! (She sings) Let's remember all the vows we've made, our love's not one that could be replaced, True love means showing our commitment let's banish from our lives resentment Chorus(Both sing) I see the sun is going down, and, I see that you are coming 'round Can you forgive the things I said and did? Being resentful is no way to live! Forgiveness is the best way! (refrain) Yes, being resentful is no way to live! Forgiveness is the best way! repeat refrain and fade to zero August 3,2019 John Derek Hamilton

A wonderful song, John. So hard in the heat of the moment to remember those vows.

Thanks SW it's true, that's why I mentioned a strong commitment that way they're not so quick to leave when arguments happen...and they will happen! I appreciate your kind visit and comment!

I like that you place them both in this. Sharing emotions from the heart. His and hers. Yes, Forgiveness is the best way! Both willing to work it out. Communication being the key. Your thoughts always move me in some way. ~ Brandy

they say there are 3 things in life we can never get back, a stone after it's thrown, time after it's lost and words after they are spoken... this one made me think of that! Your refrain i began reading in a rhythm, like a song, it flows beautifully and i love what it has to say....poignantly beautiful to me....another great write from you John! :) hugs

Thanks Sandy, I'm not familiar with that saying but it's so true, better to choose words wisely then we won't have to apologize so often.
