My mother Jacqueline.

I gaze at your photo mother,
your leaving is like no other.
The day you died I was shattered,
and my heart is broken and tattered.
Not a day- I do not think of you,
you come when skies are gray or blue.
When I lost you- I lost my grip,
my anchor and my true north ship.
Now, I am a balloon in the breeze,
and with no compass I crash into trees.
Sometimes, I feel you are very near,
and your sweet voice I almost hear.
We both adore and love horses,
a fact- our sameness endorses.
I have come with roses this Fall day,
to lay upon your cold stone of gray.
And my tears fall like falling leaves,
oh mother, forever our love weaves.
