Flowery Love Poems

Flowery love poems. Romantic love poems. Poems filled with imagery and dreamy doses of longing. Poems written by poets who understand poetry, and know beautiful words, and how to use them. Poems about wanting and loving and sensual stuff. Mushy love poems, read breathlessly by the masses. Daring stuff, with heroes and heroines who make us swoon and moan and long for romanticism. How do these bards know these eighteenth century words? Is there a gigantic seductive poetry book? Who has access? Does all their marvelous imagery come from the recesses of their mind? Do mystical magical romantic brain connections keep all of these glorious words inside their dendrites? Are there lists? How are they organized? Are they only available to certain poets? Real ones? Some of the most beautiful poetry touches my heart, but does not make sense to my novice-poet’s mind. Sometimes my heart leaps with joy as it reads a poem, and yet, what can I add? I do not own any of these love- words, and I do not know where the secret poetry book is located. I have not even seen the list! Flowery love poems, delightful to read, are a complete mystifying anomaly to me, with their terrific words and their wonderful romanticism and fabulous imagery; they are mysteriously out of my reach.

Oh wow, I feel this way, too. I guess our "ideal" love is different in real life, though. For me- being home with my hubby (comfy in our favorite fuzzy pajamas), munching on our favorite snacks and watching old musicals or comedies is incredibly 'romantic'... Just being able to eat sloppy stuff, joke-around and crazy-laugh together without pretense is the best feeling ever! ;)

I know what you mean- pajamas are my daily home-clothes, too! I thought when I moved to the city that I would start "dressing normal"... but that probably only lasted a week. Although one of my neighbors giggled at my fuzzy, hot-pink argyle pajamas- everyone else seems to have taken it in stride. ;D

I am so sloppy it is to the point of ridiculous. If you catch me at home without my pajamas on, I have just left the front door and have only been home for two seconds. Because in three seconds I am in my pajamas. There is nothing like relaxing! I am so good at it too!"
